Need some help with mairix

There doesn't seem to be any sort of mailing list or other support for
mairix so I'm hoping that some people who use it with mutt may be able
to help me.

How does one search for E-Mails containing a string like 'LTS-25' ?

Is there any way to tell mairix that the minus sign is part of a
'word'? ... and anyway won't mairix have stored the 'LTS' and the '25'
as separate 'words' in its index?

Maybe it's simply not possible with mairix. Are there any better tools
for searching E-Mail (stored in maildir)?
