Sure why not.

I simply stuck the file I use here:

Download it and apply it to mutt sources with patch -p1 as it says near
the top.

It's got my other simple patches too: only a couple minor things.
I figure including them might get me told why they are wrong ;)

It also generates some BUILD scripts that you can ignore.

If you use it you'd probably have to tinker with it, not only to remove
those other little changes. It puts all its changes in QOZZY
preprocessor conditionals, and although it also changes the Makefiles to
define that, I suspect anybody but me would rip that out.
