Maybe these:

-   Try a bitmap font, for nice crisp text.

    (You may have to mess with your X or desktop or terminal
    configurations, to achieve this.

    But if you have easy access to a console environment (Ctrl+Alt+F2 or
    whatever) then you may at least be able to see that the effect would
    be like, and if it's worth it to you.)

-   Check out MSMTP, and Getmail.

-   Pay it forward: if you got Mutt working for you, help a friend to
    learn Mutt, too!  (And maybe learn a few new things in the process.)

And a bonus:

-   Give thanks to Michael Elkins, Kevin McCarthy, and everyone else who
    produces & maintains great free (as in freedom) software like Mutt.
