The change was made because mutt-dev in fact already experienced 
mass-unsubscribes because of p=reject bounces from a DMARC policy.  I 
thought wrapping was a good solution but:

Whoops, I missed the fact that the wrapper removes the Subject line
too.  That's not convenient at all.  Let me see if there is anything I
can do about that.
