Index screen - could it feature time segments?

I would guess it would look something like this:

115 r   Two weeks ago Leho Kraav      (5.4K) Index screen - could it feature time segments?
116     Yesterday     Matthias Apitz  (  25) ├─>

And it would sort internally in Mutt using the original sorting method
set. When set using a date it would go by the real date and not the
textual representation displayed.
