Is /home/user really your home directory?  Or is it /home/marcelo?

Is the error message really complaining about 
home/user/.mutt/temp/doc2.pdf?  Or is it complaining about 
/home/user/.mutt/temp/doc2.pdf?

Please send us the output of the following commands:

id
cd && pwd
ps -ef | fgrep mutt
